SENIOR SESH PREP...
Holy shit… your senior photos!!! This is a super exciting time, for you AND your parents, grand parents, EVERYONE ❤️🔥 (including me, I love all my seniors) But I get it, you’re also probably a little nervous, which is sooooo normal. Let me give you my go-to tips and tricks so you can show up feeling your hottest.
Session Prep.
First off, let’s talk about preparing for your session. Girls! Please do not fake tan or get a spray tan the day of your session (seriously don’t 🙂) My best advice is to tan at least (italicize) 2 days before your session, that way you can look as natural as possible. Next, the day of your session is not the time to test out new makeup, stick to what you know or do some trials before! I want you to feel comfortable! And for my boys, don’t do anything stupid in the week leading up to your session!! The last thing we need is you in a cast, or covered in bruises! Now right before your session is an important time… get in your best mood, listen to your hype playlist and get to feeling all confident and hot!!
your parents
Next let’s talk about your parents! I know this can be stressful between you guys! And trust me, that’s so normal (even my mom and I got into arguments about what I should wear 🙄) But I want you to remember… they are so excited, and trust me, they want these photos so much more than you do! So compromise, wear something they want and something you want; and don’t hesitate to tell me you need to add another outfit, it’s no big deal! A question I get asked a lot is “Can I bring my parent/parents to my session?” And to that I say, IT’S COMPLETELY UP TO YOU! If you think that having them there will make you feel more comfortable and confident, BRING THEM!! But if you think it might cause issues for you and all your hotness, maybe ask them to hang back at the car or not come. Either way, as long as you’re happy, I’m happy!
COME FITTED UP.
Lastly let’s talk about CLOTHES 💋 Obvi thee most important part, other than you of course 🥰!! Here’s my opinion, but seriously take it with a grain of salt because I want you to wear what you want. Outfit #1 should be something neutral, professional, classy… but make sure it’s something you LOVE! Just thrifted a blazer, bought a new dress, or boys if you really loved your prom suit, this is the outfit for that!! For outfit #2 wear something you LOVE, something that feels uniquely YOU ✨. This is the time to throw on your fav converse, cute new pants, or a fun shirt!! And lastly for outfit #3 something that embodies your high school experience. This could be a full new outfit like a sports jersey or just incorporating a prop; like your lacrosse stick, baseball bat, instrument or literally anything else that shows off your hobbies! Incorporating parts of your personality and interests is what will really make these photos special.
