An in-depth chat about outfits...

Ho-ly shit! "Why is picking an outfit so stressful?" A question that I am SURE you've had in the back of your head while planning a photo session... let's chat a bit more about what I find to be the BEST options!

an outfit that feels like YOU

Although my blanket advice for any session is to wear neutral, toned down colors, I am a huge believer in your photos portraying you. So... if neutrals aren't your vibe, wear something bright!

With that being said, for sessions such as couples or families with more than one person, color coordination is super important. Shown in the photos above... you can see the Gallegos family in the top right stuck with jeans and cream/tan on top, creating a well rounded look! Jamie and Preston in the middle top, didn't wear the same colors, but stuck to a color palette of white, blue, and grey. *If you stick with the neutrals you can basically mix anything and it will look good*

And a perfect example of picking a color palette and integrating your personality is Emily and Dawson on the bottom right! They love forest green and Dawson loves vintage clothes. So they integrated both with his vintage Nike sweater!

Now for sessions such as senior photos, or branding my advice changes a bit! I like to see you wear an outfit that really portrays you/your brands personality! So bring on the colors, the crazy clothes, and whatever makes you feel like YOU! And then for your second outfit I recommend something more toned down! The reasoning behind this is, a lot of times you end up using your senior photos for a lot; headshots for resumes, or applying to college. Thus, something a little more professional will come in handy... and your parents/grandparents might want to print your photos out (they tend to like the neutral outfits more)

in the end,

Your photos are a reflection of you, so pick an outfit that you feel comfortable in and that portrays who you are. Whether that be a bright pink suit, neutrals, or no shirt... I'm here for it! Hope this helped 🥰
